You may have heard of the children’s book character Flat Stanley or have seen television commercials of traveling gnomes. But how much do you know about Skippy?
Skippy, our special friend and ministry mascot, is traipsing about the world on behalf of Compassion. Oh, the glamorous life of a mascot!
Be on the lookout for Skippy in the weeks to come because you never know where he will show up. Looking at this photo, where do you think he is headed?

When’s Skippy coming Down Under? That’s where the first Skippy (the Kangaroo) is from.
I can’t tell much from the picture but since the tags say Caribbean and Haiti I’m guessing he may be headed there.
How in the world do you read that on the tags?!? I’m not arguing, I’m squinting!
Fantastic answer! 😀 <3
You are so right. And smart. I’ll have to remind the person who programs our posts not to tag the photos that way. 🙂
He’s in coach on a 737, so hope he has enough legroom for a long flight. 😉
If there’s not enough leg room Skippy could take a hop, skip and jump around the plane to stretch his legs. 😉
He’s actually headed south.
West!
Interesting name! In Australia we would hear the name “Skippy” and assume you were talking about a kangaroo.
