I pray that my little girl will continue to do well in her studies, continue to grow closer to Jesus and be abel to one day go out and tell the world about our Savior. I pray for her health and she always has a warm dry place to sleep and food in her stomach.
I pray that my sponsored child will continually grow in her love relationship with Jesus and that she would always remember no matter how hard her circumstances get, that Jesus is always there with her!!!
Will realize how much they have to offer this world. That they can rise above and beyond.
Be relentless in their knowledge of the TRUTH and never give up on their God-given dreams and aspirations.
Welcome to the Compassion family, Helena. I’ve found that I am blessed by being a sponsor as much my child is, but differently.
I have four girls, each of them the new one, bacause I am new at a Compassion, too. I have not even got everyones albums yet here to Finland. Those girls are from 7 to 18 years old in different countries. What I will pray for them, is thet they, who don´t now have Jesus as their Saviour, would find the great truth and accept Jesus to their lives, and that those, who are already Jesus followers, would grow in their faith. And that everyone could feel the presence of Jesus in their lives, if they understand, what it is or if they only feel something very precious.
Also I hope and pray, that they would have lovely and caring homes – I saw one video where a little boy told he liked most to be at church, because there no-one hits him.
And for myself I pray understanding for “my children” and the love to them, such love that they could easily believe and understand and feel.
I pray that my sponsored little girls will fulfil the full potential that God has given them, that they will not be hindered by their circumstances. I pray that they will see themselves as God sees them, not as the world sees them. I pray that they will be protected, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, that the Lord will stand watch over them as they sleep, as they travel, as they learn, as they pray. I pray that they will know that they are being bathed in prayers and in love.
My prayer is that this little 6- year-old African boy will have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and that because of that, his entire family, and even his entire village will know Jesus as well. I pray that they will know that the hand of God provides for their needs because He loves them. I pray that they will not go to sleep hungry, ad that they will know that I love them, too.
that our sponsored daughter in Africa keeps growing in her faith and love for Jesus. I am asking God to give her the endurance she needs to do well is school as well as work hard at home to help her family. She is an amazing girl that we have had the privilege of loving on for six years! Most importantly that she will not loose sight of her God when times get tough in her country.
…ignore the enemy’s lies about his life and allow Christ to work in him.
…receive more letters from his sponsor.
I pray that my sponsored children (and my “departed” sponsored children) will feel Gods love in their lives every day. I pray that they know that I still love them even when I’m not able to write to them any more because they’re no longer in the program – they’ve graduated. I’m thankful for my new sponsored child Andy and pray that if she’s not already accepted Christ that she will. I pray for the health and safety of her grandmother and for the parents of my other sponsored children and for the other adults and churches that work with them as partners of Compassion.
Amen, Kees!
I’m not totally sure what this prior post means, but one thing that I’m very thankful for is that Compassion recognizes Christ as the One, Who is God and came to die on the cross to pay for all of our sins, so that if we place our trust in Him, that we could be assured that our sins are forgiven. Because He died on the cross and because He is God, He is the only Way and He is the Truth and the Life.

I pray that my sponsored children learn their inborn faith of Islam. Accept life as a test, and accept Jesus as the messenger of Allah.
I pray that my sponsored children fulfill the potential that God has given them, that they will not be held back by their circumstances, that self-doubt will not creep into their minds as they grow and mature and that they will never lose faith in the power, glory and mercy of God.
It depends on which child, but the biggest thing that I pray for each child is that they will accept Christ as their Saviour. “What shall it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, but loses his soul.” The answer is nothing. But the flipside is also true: “What shall it profit a man, if he gains Christ, but gains nothing in the world.” The answer to that would be EVERYTHING. Because out life is so short in comparrison to eternity.
Having said that, I also pray for their health and that they will do well in school and for some odd reasons, the children, I sponsor tend to have a hard time in Mathematics. It’s ironic, because I teach Calculus! Well, maybe that’s so that I can help them with it. I had a good time teaching some math to some students in a La Paz project. It was fun!

finds a way to go to college and stays strong in her faith. I pray for God to protect her physically and emotionally. I pray for her family’s health and her country’s political stability.
I pray that my sponsored children will come to know Christ on a deeper level, that they will know how much He values them, and they will become more like him everyday.
Feels the love of Jesus Christ every single day of his life.
I pray that my sponsored children feel loved and valued. I pray they remain safe and healthy. I pray that my sponsored childred develop a mind set that they CAN make a difference in the world. I pray they feel how much I love them through my letters.
I pray that my sponsored child is warm and full and loved today. I pray that she experiences God’s love for her through another human being today. I pray that she goes to sleep tonight in peace.
I pray for our children to understand the truth about Jesus, and not be led astray. I pray for good health and safety throughout the year. I ask for guidance for their futures and for strong, healthy friendships and godly counsel. I pray they will understand how greatly they are loved and valued by God and by me.
I pray that my sponsored child continues to attend and work hard in school. I pray that he continues to attend church and love the Lord. I pray that he remains so beautifully optimistic, despite the difficulties his country faces with drought and rising food prices. I pray that my sponsorship continues to offer him and his family some protection from the hardships of the world. I pray that I continue to be the very best sponsor to him that I can be. That what I say to him and send to him makes a difference in his life.
In 2009, I pray that my sponsored children remain safe and protected. I pray that they learn that God truly loves them and he thinks of them as his sons. I pray they come to know the value and worth they have to God. May they have a healthy self value and self worth that comes from God. May they accept Jesus in their lives. I want them to know that I love them.
…will accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior and decide to live for Him for all the days of her life.
In 2009, I pray that my sponsored child gains a better understanding of God’s love for him, and will accept Jesus as his savior (if he has not yet already).
