2016 Annual Report: Why We’re Stronger Together

The 2015-2016 fiscal year has brought another year of growth for Compassion.

We believe that growth was God-led, as we worked together in faith, using each of our spiritual gifts as sponsors, donors, church partners, staff and volunteers to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.

In our 2016 Annual Report, our President and CEO Jimmy Mellado discusses key highlights from this past fiscal year. It also includes detailed financial information, celebrates another incredible year of our Child Sponsorship Program, and brings you three stories of sponsored children, alumni and their families that are filled with hope, triumph and blessing.

We’re grateful to God and to you for strengthening our ministry to care for children. This year we surpassed $800 million in revenue for the first time in our 64-year history, marking 19 consecutive years of growth.

Financial integrity and transparency is not just a priority for us, but a deeply held value. When you gave this past year, 82.4 percent of expenses went to programs that directly support our mission of releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
