When Kaitlin Boyda turned 16 she received some startling news — terminal brain cancer. Because she was a child fighting a terminal disease, the Children’s Wish organization wanted to grant her a wish.
She considered taking a snowboarding trip with her family to New Zealand. But then she thought,
“We are only on earth for so long. We need to make an effort for other people when we are here.”
So Kaitlin made another wish. One that will impact many lives for generations to come.

Wow – what an amazing story and what an amazing young woman. This video is very touching. I love how some of the kids in the child packets are “moving”…
I remember seeing this once before, but it’s been a few years, I think. How many lives have been spared or greatly enhanced, simply because they had clean water to drink, thanks to this lovely girl’s wish? We aren’t likely ever to know–certainly not in this life–but she left a significant, life-changing legacy. That’s been my prayer for over 10 years, now.
Wow, what a selfless act this young lady made to make a difference for so many children and their families.
