As a 5-year-old sponsored child growing up in Haiti, Beguens Theus dreamed of what life could be. Now, as a member of Haiti’s parliament Beguens is determined to see the dreams of every child in Haiti realized.

It is exciting to see Compassion grads rise up in the political world. Christian leaders are so important because they understand that they need to turn to God first. It’s God who leads the way.
Our family will pray for Beguens Theus and all of the other Compassion grads out there who are aspiring to leadership roles within the government.
I’m praying for you Beguens — and hope to meet you when I come to Haiti on a sponsor tour soon. May God give you strength, wisdom and courage in your new position.
