Now that the Child Survival Program is a reality in Mexico, things have started to change. Today, Mexico rejoices to have this program, but everyone is also very aware of the difficult situations mothers and young children face as they struggle to survive.

Fully aware of God’s relentless pursuit of her, one sponsor knew He wanted to use her grief for His glory. Sponsorship was her surrender to Him.

In many of the places where sponsored children live, youth become parents while still teenagers. Pray that God would give your sponsored child courage and perseverance to stay pure.

Clementine lives with her husband and four children in a small house made of mud in Kigali, Rwanda. When she was six months pregnant, she’d spend the day at the health center, volunteering to clean so she could take food home to her family.

Sami Cone’s children wanted to be a part of a sponsored child’s life, but not just any child, a child their age that they could start to relate to on at least some level. They wanted to feel like they were making a difference. They wanted to learn how to put feet to their faith.

Why did God rest? Why did He create that boundary if He is an infinite God?

Women around the world face obstacles that most of us can hardly begin to fathom. Lack of access to family planning leaves mothers in developing countries with no easy way to control the size of their families, and in the end, robs both the mother and her children of a better life.

God has made each of us in a particular way with strengths and abilities that we are to use to serve Him. He also has a specific set of responsibilities for us to accomplish with these gifts.
