We’re blessed to partner with generous organizations who share about the impact of child sponsorship with their communities. They encourage new people to partner in changing the life of a child. One of those is LifeWay, based in Nashville, Tenn. You can find us featured as a ministry partner at a majority of the live events they host throughout the year. Those events share biblical principles, encouragement and inspiration with their thousands of attendees.
We are celebrating and praising God for surpassing more than 15,000 children sponsored through our relationship with LifeWay women’s conferences!
Over the past few years, LifeWay staff have joined us in the field to see our work, meet the children, and visit and encourage the local church partners. Three inspiring women in particular returned from their trips with renewed passion to share about the impact of child sponsorship. In the following stories, you’ll meet Betsy, Mickey and Paige. And you’ll learn about their experiences meeting the precious kids they sponsor. Travel along with us to Peru and Uganda to hear about these memorable visits…
Betsy
Betsy is an event coordinator for LifeWay, and has sponsored Ronald in Peru for six years. Ronald is an active 9-year-old living in the city of Chiclayo. After meeting Ronald, Betsy shares this story about the impact of meeting face-to-face the child she had previously only seen in a picture on his child packet.

Mickey
Mickey serves on the LifeWay family resources team and traveled to Uganda to meet Clare. Going halfway across the world for the first time can be intimidating, and especially while trying to process the challenges of those living in poverty and how we can come alongside to support them. On her trip, Mickey was gently reminded that we all need Jesus, no matter our situation in life.

Paige
Finally, Paige is the Director of Events at LifeWay, and sponsored Susan in Uganda for more than 14 years. Susan recently graduated from her Compassion program in Mbale, Uganda – such a success story of her hard work along with the love and support of her sponsor and her local church partner! Following her trip to meet Susan, Paige shared this beautiful story about the special connection they developed over years of sponsorship.
